Modernism Week Showhouse

ckc2017-taste-maker-grace-homeWe are thrilled to be designing a room in the Modernism Week Christopher Kennedy Compound Showhouse! Opening night party is 2/17, with tours beginning 2/18 through 2/26. Tickets on sale here.

The Christopher Kennedy Compound: Modernism Week Show House is the only decorator showcase house in Palm Springs and has been named the “#1 Must-See Event of Modernism Week” by The Hollywood Reporter. It is widely regarded as one of the two most important Showcase Houses in the country – a West Coast version of the venerable Kips Bay decorator showcase in Manhattan. Each year, Christopher re-imagines a classic Palm Springs property, using the best of modern of technology and bringing together about 20 of the country’s most prominent design talents. The Christopher Kennedy Compound is published in Traditional Home and California Homes magazines, and raises approximately $100,000 for architectural preservation, education, and neighborhoods in Palm Springs.

The Mission of The Christopher Kennedy Compound is to re-establish Palm Springs as a wellspring for world-class architecture and interior design by restoring a classic mid-century property using the best of today’s technology and bringing together the nation’s top design talents.

In 2016, Modernism Week hosted 78,000 participants from 20 countries. This annual event celebrates and fosters appreciation of mid-century architecture and design, as well as contemporary thinking in these fields, by encouraging education, preservation and sustainable modern living as represented in Palm Springs.
